3. Funding your account

Once your account is verified, you can add funds from the Deposits section of your dashboard. Funding is required to take any position on the platform — leveraged trading still requires a margin balance.

• Deposits are processed through your dashboard. Available funding methods are visible inside your account.
• Deposit limits depend on your account status and the funding method used.
• Always fund from a verified personal account — third-party transfers can be flagged during review.

5. Placing your first trade

When you're ready to take a position, the platform supports the standard order types — Market, Limit and Stop-Loss — with intuitive one-tap entry and exit. Real-time price feeds keep you in sync with the market at every moment.

How orders execute on 5Trade

• All orders execute on live BID-ASK prices, not the LTP shown on your chart.
• Market orders take the best available bid or ask at the moment of execution.
• Limit, Stop-Loss and Take-Profit orders trigger when the bid-ask reaches your target level.
• Liquidations also execute on bid-ask prices, not chart highs/lows.

Trading best practices

• Set a stop-loss before entering — it's the single biggest determinant of long-term survival.
• Don't book profits within 2 minutes of entry — that's classified as jobbing/scalping and may be removed.
• Don't trade via VPN — VPN trades are deleted from the account.
• Don't run cross orders or same-IP multi-ID strategies — profitable trades from such activity may be removed without notice.

6. Leverage, margin & risk management

5Trade offers up to 500x leverage with built-in safeguards. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses, so understanding margin rules is essential before you size up.

Liquidation rules

• Liquidation triggers at 70% MTM loss intraday. Above 70%, your account can be liquidated at any point.
• The position with the highest loss is squared off first.
• 100% holding margin is required to carry positions overnight. Insufficient margin leads to auto-liquidation.

Negative Balance Protection

5Trade applies a 30% step-out level for Negative Balance Protection. Any negative balance beyond this threshold is waived off — you cannot lose more than your available capital.

Special position rules

• Stock dividends/bonuses: positions eligible for dividends or bonuses must be squared off one day before the ex-date or they will be auto-closed.
• Option-only accounts: accounts that exclusively engage in option selling are terminated after total payout.
• Software glitches: if you spot one, report it immediately with your ID — we square off your position at CMP on receipt.

7. Withdrawing your funds

When it's time to take profits off the platform, request a withdrawal from your account dashboard. Withdrawals are processed through the same channels you used to fund the account.

What to expect

• Withdrawals are initiated from the Withdrawals section of your dashboard.
• Payouts can occasionally be delayed due to banking-side issues outside our control — funds are released as soon as the banking channel processes them.
• Always raise withdrawal requests during business hours for the fastest turnaround.
